It all started when I received my first box of Crayola crayons and coloring book at the age of 5. I knew I wasn’t going to grow up to be a doctor that my mom always hoped I would be. I would color within the thick black lines of the image and coordinate the colors in warm and cool groups. At age 10, I took piano lessons which opened my ears to hear beyond the sounds that it delivers. I closed my eyes, and absorbed the smooth melody that flowed freely through my ears, as I painted images of a story in my head. Learning music broadened my visual ability to understand art in detail.
perspective
An interest in texture, colors, space, and the beauty of darkness, allows me to explore meaningful emotions from within. I paint about my inner thoughts and how I perceive reality. My intention is to capture the audience with bold colors, and with a statement that has them ask themselves “What is the meaning of this?”. My attention to detail, creative characteristics, exceptional work ethic, organization skill sets and strong design eye, increases the value of my artwork and marketing events.
finishing touches
2005, received my BFA with a concentration in Graphic Design at California State University of Fullerton. Currently, a Freelance Graphic Designer, and a full-time Client Service/Marketing Coordinator with a Financial Planning firm. I continue to paint on my free time.
